Chris Smith has a wealth of knowledge and experience from his diverse 18 year legal career. Before signing on with Fonda & Fraser, Chris had his own practice concentrated in general and commercial liability, real estate law, plaintiff's personal injury claims and appellate law, for which he has the following published opinions to his client's benefit:

Chris has dedicated his practice to jury trials and defending a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts, including private and public sector construction, multi-party business contract disputes, elder & dependent adult abuse, mechanics liens, products liability, real estate, bad faith, general liability, professional liability, administrative law and the defense of intentional torts such as fraud and violations of public policy. His clients include contractors, non-profit organizations, manufacturers, individual and commercial landlords, public institutions for the disabled, publishing companies, textile producers, physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, senior and assisted living homes. Chris’ judicious use of alternative dispute resolution through mediation and the appellate courts have proven not only effective, but cost conscious as well.
